Why Venhyia exists

Zoom and Microsoft Teams are excellent, well-respected tools, and Venhyia is not here to replace them. They were built for fast, stable, unlimited internet — and much of our daily reality is not that. Venhyia is built for the connections we actually have: it is light on data, runs in the browser on any phone with no app to download, and meetings are shared the way we already share everything — a link on WhatsApp or Telegram, or a code read out loud.

What the name means

Venhyia comes from the Akan idea of gathering — people coming together. That is the whole product: bring your people together, wherever they are, on whatever phone they have.

When Venhyia is the right choice

Reach for Venhyia when:

• You are gathering your own people — family across regions or abroad, a church or association meeting, a class, a small team.
• Guests should join from whatever phone they have — no account, no download; they tap a link from WhatsApp and they are at the door.
• Data is precious. Calls are light on bundles, and the call adapts itself quietly instead of asking anyone to fix settings.
• The person joining is not a computer person at all.
• Cost matters. The Free plan stays free, and paid plans are prepaid in cedis — by Mobile Money, card or Apple Pay — never a card on file, nothing renews itself behind your back.

When Venhyia is not the right choice — yet

We would rather tell you plainly than let a meeting disappoint you. Look elsewhere when:

• You are hosting a stadium, not a gathering — a webinar with hundreds of viewers belongs on a broadcast tool.
• You need studio-crisp HD throughout. Our picture bends with the network: on a rough connection the call stays alive by softening the video.
• Guests are on very old phones or data-saver browsers — those cannot run video calls at all; Venhyia now says so kindly on the page and points the way to Chrome.
• Your organisation needs signed enterprise guarantees and compliance paperwork — the big platforms do that honourably; we are not pretending to.

For everything else — the gatherings that actually fill our weeks — akwaaba.

How we run

Venhyia is operated from Ghana. The Free plan stays free. Paid plans are prepaid in Ghana cedis — Mobile Money, card or Apple Pay — nothing renews by itself and there is never a card on file: everything you buy has a clear end date. Your meetings are yours: we never store your audio or video on our servers, and when a host records, the file lives on the host’s own device — never with us.
